YOUTH & CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Southside's Youth & Children's Ministry exists to come alongside parents in the disciple-making of the next generation through biblical teaching, care, and love.

Our desire is to guide and encourage parents as we partner with them to teach and model the gospel so that they train up their children for the glory of God. We are committed to help young people grow and be equipped for the Christian walk even from a young age.

9:30AM

Our Youth & Children's Sunday school classes meet on Sunday mornings in the Education Building. In these classes we help young people grow in their knowledge of God’s Word by providing a solid and broad foundation of biblical teaching. Youth & Children's Sunday school classes are provided for children grades 1st – 12th grade. Youth 6th - 12th are also invited to join in on our adult classes as well. Childcare is provided for children 3 years old and under during this time.

10:30 AM

Our youth and children ages 4 and up join us in the sanctuary to worship our risen Savior together. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to model for their children what it means to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:23).

Childcare is provided for kids 3 years old and under on Sunday mornings during the worship service.

7:00pm Summer Schedule: Kids and Youth join the Church Family in the Sanctuary for Bible Study

6:30pm  during a regular school year

On Wednesday evenings, our Youth & Children’s Bible study time goes through The Gospel Project curriculum, which is a Christ-centered study that follows the timeline of events in the Bible over the course of about four years. Our goal through The Gospel Project is to help young people connect Bible stories with God’s ultimate plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. The Gospel Project classes are for grades 1st –12th, and we offer childcare for those 3 years old and under. Youth 6th-12th grade are also invited to join Pastor Jason in the sanctuary for an in-depth study of a book of the Bible where he teaches How To Study the Bible.

PARENTS

Because we believe parents are called to be the lead disciple-makers of their children in the family, the kids and youth ministries are committed to help dads and moms in the journey of Christian parenting.
